Muhiba Ahmed

Key Stage 3 Science Coordinator

My name is Muhiba Ahmed, and I am currently a Secondary Teacher and Key Stage 3 Coordinator for Science at GEMS Wellington School, Qatar. I graduated with a degree in Biomedical Science and later completed my PGCE at a university in Leeds. With a passion for science education, I teach across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. As a UK-qualified educator, I have worked in schools in Yorkshire, gaining invaluable experience before making the exciting transition to teaching abroad.

In my role, I’m passionate about sparking curiosity in my students and helping them discover just how fascinating science can be. I believe learning should be an exciting adventure, so I aim to make biology come to life in ways that are engaging, relevant, and fun. Whether it’s exploring the wonders of the natural world or discussing real-life science, I want my students to feel confident in asking questions, thinking critically, and seeing the bigger picture. My goal is to help them build a solid understanding of biology that not only supports their academic growth but also makes them excited to learn more every day.

Outside of the classroom, I have a keen interest in sports, and recently, I’ve developed a particular interest in playing racket sports like paddle. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I am always seeking new ways to stay active and engaged. I also love to explore the world with my husband, creating lasting memories while embracing new experiences. These hobbies allow me to balance my professional life with personal fulfillment, bringing a well-rounded approach to both my work and my leisure.

As KS3 Coordinator for Science, I aim to ensure that our students not only excel academically but also grow as curious, motivated individuals ready to take on the challenges of the future.
