Assistant Head of Primary: Teaching, Learning and Assessment
Hello, my name is Thomas Keech, and it is a privilege to be Primary Assistant Headteacher: Teaching, Learning, and Assessment at WSQ. With 13 years of experience in international educational settings, I have had the privilege of working in Qatar for seven years. I have experience as a Year Group lead, Maths lead and Assistant Headteacher before joining WSQ. During this time, I also developed my own Maths resources that are sold and used in schools around the world. I am currently completing my Master’s in Educational Leadership.
Throughout my journey, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with both international and local families, appreciating the enriching contributions they bring to a school community. One of my greatest passions is promoting inclusive education. My experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of different cultures, learning styles, and the importance of inclusive education. I firmly believe that diversity is a strength, and it is our responsibility as educators to create an environment where every student feels valued, respected, and supported.
In addition to fostering inclusivity, I am deeply committed to creating a challenging and inspiring environment for all students. Setting high expectations and providing appropriate support enables students to exceed their own expectations. By fostering a growth mindset and cultivating a love for learning, I strive to create an environment where students are motivated to take risks, explore new ideas, and achieve their personal best.
