Assistant Headteacher - Student Support

Natalie Wasley is Assistant Headteacher for Primary Student Support at GEMS Wellington School, Qatar. Having joined WSQ in 2017, she has held a range of teaching, pastoral and inclusion leadership roles, developing extensive expertise in supporting pupil wellbeing, inclusion and achievement.

Natalie is passionate about creating an environment where every pupil feels valued, supported and able to flourish. Her leadership is centred on ensuring that pupils receive the pastoral care, guidance and support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

Prior to joining WSQ, Natalie worked in the United States supporting children with additional needs and delivering intervention programmes in local schools, before teaching in the UK. Since joining WSQ, she has served as a class teacher, member of the Inclusion Team, Primary Pastoral Leader and most recently Primary SENDCo.

Natalie holds a degree in Primary Education with QTS from St Mary's University, Twickenham, the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo), Level 3 Safeguarding certification, and is currently completing the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL). She is also trained in positive behaviour support and has undertaken extensive professional learning in SEND, pastoral care and inclusion.
