Lauren Bowen
Assistant Headteacher - Head of Early Years
Lauren Bowen is Assistant Headteacher and Head of Early Years at GEMS Wellington School, Qatar. With experience across both the UK and Qatar, she is passionate about creating exceptional early learning environments where every pupil develops confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Lauren believes that the early years provide the foundations for future success. Her approach combines high-quality teaching, nurturing relationships and purposeful play, ensuring that every child feels valued, supported and inspired to thrive.
Throughout her career, Lauren has held teaching and leadership positions at Loxdale Primary School, St Michael's Catholic Academy and Nursery, and The Royal Grammar School Guildford Qatar, where she served as both Phonics Lead and Head of Early Years. Her expertise spans early childhood education, curriculum development and creating outstanding learning experiences that enable young pupils to flourish from the very start of their educational journey.
Lauren holds a Psychology degree and a PGCE with an Early Years Specialism from the University of Worcester. She has completed the National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching (NPQLT) and is currently undertaking the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL).
