Deputy Headteacher (Student Learning and Outcomes)

Thomas Keech is Whole School Deputy Headteacher for Student Learning and Outcomes at GEMS Wellington School, Qatar, bringing fifteen years of experience in international education, including extensive senior leadership experience within high-performing schools in Qatar and at WSQ.

Thomas is passionate about developing outstanding teaching, empowering leaders and ensuring every pupil experiences a curriculum that both challenges and inspires. He believes that exceptional education is built on high-quality learning, strong relationships and a culture of continuous improvement, enabling every pupil to achieve their full potential and thrive in an increasingly complex world.

During his time at WSQ, Thomas has led significant school improvement initiatives across curriculum design, teaching and learning, assessment, quality assurance and professional development. His work has contributed directly to the school's Outstanding BSO accreditation and HPL World Class School status, helping to strengthen the quality of education and outcomes across the school.

Thomas holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Bath, with research focused on leadership development and school culture. He is currently completing the NPQH and also holds a PGCE with QTS, a BA in Political Studies.
