Jennifer Pilley
Vice Principal (Head of Secondary)
Jennifer Pilley is Vice Principal at GEMS Wellington School, Qatar, bringing extensive senior leadership experience in secondary education, with more than fourteen years spent in high-performing schools. She is a highly experienced educational leader with a strong track record of improving outcomes, developing staff and driving whole-school improvement.
Jennifer is driven by a clear moral purpose: supporting young people to become the very best version of themselves. She believes education should build resilience, confidence and curiosity while preparing pupils to contribute positively to the world with kindness, empathy and respect.
As Head of Secondary at WSQ, Jennifer has led across whole-school operations, strategy and outcomes. Her expertise spans curriculum design, teaching and learning, assessment and staff development, and she has a proven record of securing strong gains in pupil progress and attainment. She has also contributed to an Ofsted Outstanding judgement for Leadership and Management and led the development of data systems and educational technology to support school improvement.
Jennifer holds a Master's in Education and Leadership, a Master's in Gender and Development, a PGCE Secondary English with QTS, and a BA (Hons) in English.
Reflecting on her appointment as Vice Principal, Jennifer said:
