Simon Austin
Primary Science Lead
My name is Simon Austin, and I am a Year One class teacher and the Primary Science Lead at GEMS Wellington School. I am from Manchester, United Kingdom, and have been a class teacher for 11 years.
As a teacher, I find immense joy in watching my students grow in confidence and enthusiasm as they face new challenges. It is a privilege to be part of their journey and to help them develop skills that will benefit them both in school and beyond.
As a Science Leader, I am passionate about inspiring young minds to explore the wonders of science and nurturing a sense of curiosity about the world around us. With a focus on hands-on learning, I strive to make science engaging and accessible for all of our pupils, encouraging them to think critically and ask big questions. I believe that fostering a love for science at a young age can ignite a lifelong passion for discovery and innovation.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling the world and immersing myself in different cultures.
